SPRING 2001 BRINGS CHANGES TO MY ART STUDIO

May 2012

Spring is bursting with color, trees are blooming and the grass is looking greener on this side.

Spring 2011

the perfect time to clean and give my My Studio that long-awaited facelift.

The guest house where I have my studio has a two car garage that is under-utilized and unprotected from the elements. There is

also a guest room painted bright lemon yellow that would make any guest go insane.  I could never stay there more than five minutes.       I am connecting the garage and the guest room so I will have more walls to display my paintings.

TWO DAYS LATER...                                                            WORK IN PROGRESS...

It always fascinates me to see creativity taking place in many forms.  It was amazing to watch the dexterity and the precision

of the carpenters. Measure, mark, saw, nail down...measure, mark, saw, nail down.  I love construction sites. I often stop the car

when I see a new construction site.  I talk to the workers and walk around imagining the new history that will take place for years to come in that space.  Of course, I see the leftover wood and want to create wooden sculpture to display in the niche.  I will have a grand-opening so if you are in Houston, send me an email at [email protected] and I will send you an invite.
